This two-year longitudinal study tracked microbiome composition in 150 individuals before, during, and after antibiotic treatment. We identified key factors influencing microbiome resilience and recovery, including baseline diversity, antibiotic class, and dietary patterns. Our findings inform strategies for microbiome protection and restoration following antibiotic exposure.
