We are proud to announce that our project, Rapid Identification and Quantification Method for Sepsis-Causing Microorganisms and Antibiotic Resistance Genes, was awarded Runner-Up for the Scientific Initiative Award 2024 at the Malta Intellectual Property Awards.
This initiative, organized by the Commerce Department within the Ministry for the Economy, Enterprise, and Strategic Projects, recognizes innovative and impactful scientific contributions.
Our project focuses on developing a rapid and accurate method to identify microbial pathogens responsible for sepsis. By leveraging advanced molecular techniques, DNA sequencing, and cutting-edge bioinformatics, we aim to improve diagnostic speed and precision, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes, reducing healthcare costs, and advancing global sepsis research and treatment efforts.
